Do you upload my photos to a server?

No. Photo files stay in your browser. Folder sorting, renaming, and ZIP creation run locally in JavaScript. The page may still load Google ads and Vercel analytics, which is separate from photo processing. See the Privacy Policy.

What photo formats are supported?

JPEG, PNG, WEBP, HEIC, and HEIF. The tool reads EXIF DateTimeOriginal when it is present so it can sort by the date the photo was taken.

How does the date organization work?

The tool reads EXIF DateTimeOriginal from each photo. It then builds folders such as 2024/January or 2024/January/15, depending on the option you pick. If a photo has no usable EXIF date, the file last-modified time is used instead.

Can I organize photos by orientation?

Yes. You can add orientation folders for landscape, portrait, or other. The tool uses EXIF orientation when that tag exists.

How do I handle duplicate photos?

You can keep every file, skip path collisions, or rename collisions with _1, _2, and so on. There is also an optional filter for names that already look like copies, such as (1) or copy.

Is there a limit on how many photos I can organize?

Yes. Each batch is limited to 300 images or 2GB, whichever you hit first. The cap exists because ZIP creation runs in the browser and large batches can run out of memory. Use multiple batches for bigger libraries. Up to 5 finished batches can stay in this browser for later download.

Can I use this on a phone?

Modern mobile browsers can run it. Large batches are more reliable on a desktop or laptop because phones have less memory for in-browser ZIP files.

Date folders

Year, year/month, or year/month/day. Month folders use full names such as January.

Patterns can include {YYYY}, {MM}, {DD}, {hh}, {mm}, {ss}, {filename}, and {counter}.
